Accounting Technician - Job Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Technician to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organisation. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Supporting the senior accounting staff in day-to-day tasks
- Utilise accounting software such as Xero and Sage for various financial management tasks.
- Performing reconciliations of bank statements.
Skills - Strong knowledge of financial management and financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero.
- Experience in accounts payable processes is essential.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Previous experience in financial services is advantageous.
